God is the Creator and Sustainer of the universe. God is revealed as the Holy Trinity: Father, Son, Holy Spirit.
Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is co-equal with the Father. He lived a sinless, human life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all people by dying on a cross. He arose from the dead after three days, to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He ascended to Heaven and will return again someday to earth to reign forever.
The Holy Spirit is co-equal with the Father and the Son. The Holy Spirit is present in the world to make humans aware of their need for Jesus Christ and advancing God's Kingdom on earth here and now. The Holy Spirit lives within every follower of Christ from the moment of salvation, giving them power for understanding spiritual truth and living in the ways of God.
The Bible is the revelation of God’s word to us. It was written by human authors through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit and is the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs and living. When we read the Bible today, it inspires us to live in Jesus' footsteps.
All people are created in the image of God, to be like God in character. Every person has tremendous potential for good, but sin has both distorted God's image in us and our relationship with God. Sin separates people from God and causes many problems in life. Therefore, we need a Savior.
Salvation is God’s free gift and connects us with God, but we must accept it. We can never make up for our sins on our own. Only by trusting in Jesus Christ, can anyone be forgiven of their sins. When we turn from our selfish living and follow Jesus in faith, we are saved. Eternal life begins the moment a person repents of their sins and believes in Jesus.
Sanctification is the new identity we have through faith in Jesus Christ. We believe the Holy Spirit transforms people from being spiritually dead in their sins to becoming spiritually alive in Christ Jesus. Through the Holy Spirit, a person's heart can be cleansed from sin and brought to a state of devotion to God.
God created people to exist forever. We will either exist eternally disconnected from God by sin or eternally connected with God through forgiveness and salvation. We believe each person will one day appear before God to give an account for how they lived their lives on earth.
Believers should be baptized as a way to testify to the Church what God has done in his/her life. We rejoice when people are baptized into new life with Christ.
